What we look for

We don’t care if and where you went to school and are focused on different things than big tech companies (we’re not interested in your leetcode skills or hacker rank.)

Instead, we look for people who demonstrate that they are a great fit for Our Values.

In our experience, the strongest signals usually come in the form of excellent side projects. For technical hires, we bias towards people who have an impressive GitHub or have contributed to open-source projects or communities in a meaningful way. As ex-Haskellers, we’re particularly interested in engineers who have worked with multiple programming languages, and specifically functional ones.

We know that not everyone’s previous role allows them to make their work public, so demonstrating a history of shipping amazing products in fast-moving and self-organising teams is also a great signal. We also find that people who have worked at startups are often well-suited.

Hiring Process

We take pride in being a small, product-focused team focused on iteration and experimentation. The team is remote-first, with most of our employees based in UK and Ireland, and we believe in hiring fewer, better people.

Sourcing candidates

We use Workable as our Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Workable publishes our jobs on free job boards including Glassdoor, Indeed and Dribble. You can find all our open roles here.

We also use Cord, AngelList and LinkedIn to find the best talent, however, you'll always be directed to make your application through our job board.

Referrals

We will always share details about new roles with the team, so everyone can be involved in our referral programme.

Personal referral

If you have someone in your network that would be a great fit for the role, you can personally refer them through the Workable referral page. If they’re hired we’ll say thank you with a £1,000 referral bonus.
